Determining your Temperature Type™

Because temperature tolerances differ from person to person, the Packly Weather Chatbot will need to know your preferred temperature type.

Your selection will be saved, and you will have the opportunity to change your selection if you choose.

Cold Temperature Type

In the summer, you find temperatures near 80°F/27°C hot, even with low humidity, but it doesn’t feel cool to you until it drops to around 60°F/16°C. In the winter, you typically wear a winter jacket around freezing (32°F/0°C), but you don’t need a parka unless it’s closer to 20°F/-7°C or you’re outside for extended periods.

Hot Temperature Type

In the summer, you find temperatures near 80°F/27°C more warm than hot, even with some humidity, but it starts feeling cool to you when it drops below 70°F/21°C. In the winter, you consider 32°F/0°C extremely cold and would want a parka for even short periods outside at that temperature.

Undecided

If you’re undecided, choose the type that best fits your local standards. If 50°F/10°C is considered cold in winter where you live, you’re likely a “Hot Temperature Type.” If 50°F/10°C is considered warm, you’re probably a “Cold Temperature Type.” Don’t worry if you’re unsure—you’ll have the option to browse
