How to use the Packly Weather Chatbot

The Packly Weather Chatbot utilizes button navigation for ease of use.

Start by Selecting your Destination

Search for weather alerts at your destination city by pressing the Search by City button or the Search by ZIP/Postal Code button, then entering the name or zip/postal code in the text box with the placeholder label message at the bottom of the viewing screen, then pressing the forward button at the far right of the text box. This is the only time you will type.

Select your Temperature Type

During your first session, the chatbot will help you determine your temperature type. For proceeding sessions the chatbot with remember your temperature type selection.

Select your Arrival and Departure Dates

Open the first calendar box labeled Arrival Date to select your arrival date to your destination, then open the second calendar box labeled Departure Date to select your departure date from your destination. Make sure to press the submit button below the Departure Date calendar box before pressing the Continue button or Change Temperature Type button if you want to change your temperature type.

Review Weather Alerts

If certain weather conditions are expected, you will be given an alert with the day or days the condition is expected.

Review Product Recommendations

If an alert is received, you will be given access to a product carousel with Amazon advertisements for products related to that alert. The carousel can be advanced using the forward arrow at the middle far right of the carousel or by using the pagination dots at the bottom of the carousel. You also have the option to swipe left to proceed.

When you wish to continue, press the I’m finished reviewing these products button located right below the carousel.


Exit the Chat

When all the alerts are finished and you have finished reviewing product recommendations, the chatbot will end the conversation.

You can exit the chatbot by pressing the home button at the bottom left corner of the chatbot.
